Under the current rule, there is a provision to keep about 25 percent of the firefighters in service permanently after the end of their service period. Around 75 percent of the remaining firefighters will be fired from their jobs. At the time of completion of their service, the age of these firefighters will be around 25 years. After which they can get opportunities in many jobs including police, paramilitary forces. Apart from this, they can also be withdrawn in times of emergency. Under Sarkari Result Recruitment Rules, for recruitment in the Indian Army, a candidate must have passed 10th or 12th from any recognized board.
