Marketing WordPress Developer Responsibilities
Manage our WordPress themes and plugins.
Build website front-end layouts and content modules.
Manage our website back-end including database and server integration.
Keep WPEngine and WordPress instances up to date and proactively recommend plugins and improvements to optimize website performance.
Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure the website is architected and built according to technical SEO and accessibility best practices.
Conduct website performance tests.
Create, test, and maintain campaign tracking scripts and tags
Troubleshoot content and analytics issues.
Perform general website updates.
Assist marketing operations with email campaign development and data-related tasks.
Marketing WordPress Developer Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science or a similar field.
5+ years of experience
Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
A history of architecting, building, and maintaining excellent WordPress sites with clean code
Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
Good understanding of website architecture, user experience, SEO, and aesthetics.
Ability to manage projects.
Good communication skills.
