The application window was closed on 15 April 2024 for the Maha Police Constable Positions. There are 17471 positions of Police Bharti in Maharashtra; out of the total positions, 10300 posts will be for Police Constable, 4800 posts will be for SRPF and 1900 will be for Jail Constable.
Maha Police Constable Selection Process
Eligible candidates will be selected based on a Physical Test, Written Exam and Skill Test. The physical test includes physical efficiency tests and physical standard tests. The department will take the physical test to assess the candidate’s physical fitness.
After conducting the physical test, the department will call the qualified candidates for the second phase of the selection process, a written exam. The written exam will be held at various examination centres across Maharashtra. Lastly, a skill test will take place to select the most capable candidates for the Police Constable positions.
The department has not declared the exam date yet. The physical test will take place in June 2024. Now, the department has not announced the exact date of the examination. The PET/PST involves three parameters, i.e. 1600 mts running or 800 mts running, 100 meter running and shot put. These parameters consist of 50 marks. Candidates who get at least 50% marks will be eligible for the next phase, the written exam.
